Football for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) is coming to Mobile this fall! The 8th Annual Gulf Coast Challenge Powered by the Mobile Sports Authority will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. In this highly anticipated matchup, the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M University will host the Tigers of Jackson State University. 

New this year, the Official Gulf Coast Challenge Tailgate Festival will be held at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in conjunction with the game. This exciting festival will feature three full days of music, food, vendors, and premier tailgating from October 2 through October 4. Festivities will kick off on Thursday, October 2, with an Xplosion Concert featuring Deitrick Haddon. Several other exciting events are planned leading up to the game, ensuring that there will be something for everyone to enjoy!
