Join United Way of Southwest Alabama, in partnership with Verizon, for the Disaster Resilience Forum on Saturday, December 5, 9–11 a.m. at the University of South Alabama MacQueen Alumni Center.

Jim Cantore, renowned meteorologist from The Weather Channel, will share insights from covering major storms like Katrina, Sandy, and Michael, followed by an audience Q&A.

The event will also feature a panel of local experts on preparedness and recovery, plus community resource exhibitors including United Way 211, AARP Alabama, American Red Cross, Mobile County Emergency Management Agency, the Governor’s Office of Volunteer Services, the Better Business Bureau of Central and South Alabama, and others.

Tickets cost $10 per person, and children three and under may attend at no cost.
